Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a prominent figure both within and beyond the pages of her book Thrive. Born on July 15, 1950, in Athens, Greece, she is a well-known author, entrepreneur, and media personality. Though she studied economics in college, she demonstrated a passion for journalism and writing. Throughout Thrive, Huffington references The Huffington Post, which Huffington co-founded in 2005.
