“The Night Circus: A Soundtrack”
In this activity, students will identify the key events in The Night Circus and create a soundtrack to accompany each event.
Music is an influential artform that influences the human mind in marvelous ways. In this activity, you will identify 8-10 key events in The Night Circus and pair each one with a piece of music that captures both the event and the emotion within it.
Share your playlist and explanations, then compare and contrast the relevant events and music choices of your peers alongside your selection. What patterns do you notice?
Teaching Suggestion: One way to create this project would be to assign a specific format for presentation, such as a word document or slide deck. Students can easily link their musical selections into the format, then share it with the class.
