After the show, Carl and Donut are transported to a safe room. Donut talks excitedly as Carl uses his pedicure kit and the AI watches them. As they lie down to sleep for a few hours, Donut tells him that she heard what he said about the ninth floor. Carl thinks she means the Maestro, and she corrects him and tells him that she heard his and Mordecai’s conversation—the one in which Mordecai advised Carl to abandon Donut on the ninth floor. Carl tells her not to worry about it.

The recap episode spends 3 minutes on Donut and Carl’s escape from the elemental. At the end, the population ticker shows that there are less than one million crawlers still alive. The announcer tells them that the stairwells will no longer disintegrate mobs. Zev appears and explains that she was censured by the System AI. She was found not-guilty but must be more careful with her words and actions in the future. Donut asks if Borant Corporation is angry at them for their performance during the interview with the Maestro, and Zev tells them that the corporation is actually very pleased with them.
